We enjoyed our stay in Penang
and K.L. Hotel (Golden Sands) and staff where GREAT!!! Now I know why
Dennis Booth go year after year to this hotel. A few restaurants where
we had dinner Poker 1, Jasmines kitchen verry good food! and cheap but
also verry good food Hawker center the Long Beach Cafe, a variety of
western (for the children) and Asian dishes, Thai chicken, sate, springrolls,
sizzeling plate.... yummy. Even Dim Sum my favorite.and very cheap!
And not to forget I'm a Belgian a good Tiger beer!! We did some water
sports parasail (fun!) banana ride and jetski the price in front of
the Rasa Sayang for parasailing 25 RM and on the Golden Sands 50 RM
so you better ask first the price! Jetski is 40 RM for 15 Minutes and
banana ride 15 RM per person. A trip to the fruitfarm whar very interesting
and at the end of the tour you get a plate of exotic fruits so you don't
have hungry for 1/2 aday. We stopped to taste a Durian PFFEWW. Some
peaple say it smells like hell and taste like heaven, but not for me,
never again. I like the rambutan you know the red hairy fruit. We have
seen the most tourist interesting things Kek Lok Si, Butterfly farm,
Botanical Garden, Komtar.....but no further comment on the trips Kayes
